Designed by Steffensen&Würtz, the CASØ 700 shelving unit displays the same clean lines that run through the rest of the CASØ 700 series.
In the design process, Steffensen&Würtz have explored and played with the materials, resulting in the 700 series' fine and unique lines and combinations. Great emphasis has been placed on creating soft but defined transitions between the elements. At the same time, the tension between the soft and the rigorous has been emphasised to create a calm and elegant environment.
In the CASØ 700 bookcase, the vision is expressed in the ladder design, with the floating shelves and the cabinet section.
The bookcase is produced in veneered oak with solid beams. The cabinet section has two sliding doors in the centre that conceal a long movable wooden shelf. Both sides have two smaller drawers that are installed with push-open.
The CASØ 700 shelf is stocked in two variants, which are:
- Oak / white oil
- Oak / white oil with black NANO laminate
Different fronts naturally provide different functions and expressions. Oak is known for its beautiful appearance and durability, and oil treatment only enhances the natural functions of oak. NANO laminate is a special type of laminate that is silky soft, incredibly durable and easy to maintain.

The design duo Thomas Steffensen and Pia Würtz are examined industrial designers and have worked with design and development in Steffensen&Würtz since 2014.
"Our design studio is based by the Aalborg harbor in the old Limfjordsværft. A location that still holds the old shipyard atmosphere.
